Automatic general election on change in the leadership of the governing party.

What the petition asks
Given the substantial change in the character of a political party on changing its leadership, it seems undemocratic for the mandate from a general election to automatically transfer to a new leader with potentially completely different policies without consulting the electorate.
The law should be changed to require a General Election if the leadership of the governing party changes.
