What the petition asks
The government is not doing enough to support people that are suffering from the severity of gambling addiction. Through numerous means, gambling organisations are targeting and taking advantage of vulnerable gambling addicts by bombarding them with the temptation to give in to their impulses.
For the serious addict- a slogan that says 'When the Fun Stops, Stop' on the bottom of gambling adverts is not enough to rid any real impulse. The addict that is actively working on their recovery can find a single advert on the internet or TV extremely triggering.
The government has a responsibility to protect it's citizens in the face of corporations that are tactically taking advantage of addicts, particularly where gambling is readily available with a few taps on our mobile devices.
