Stop using Health & Safety legislation to justify Disability Discrimination.

What the petition asks
I recently was prevented from taking part in a walking football competition held by Manchester City FC on the grounds of Health & Safety. I use crutches and was deemed a tripping hazard to other players. Previously they had stated I could take part but that changed when I turned up to the event.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We cannot accept your petition because it is about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not responsible for. This decision was the responsibility of Manchester City FC as the organisers of the tournament.
There are already laws that prevent discrimination against people with disabilities, in particular the Equality Act 2010. You could start a new petition asking for a specific change in the law if that is something you would like to see happen.
