What the petition asks
The BBC needs to stand on it own without being funded by the people. There is no competition when they have a standalone funding source.
A lot of people are disillusion with the BBC especially with non-balanced actions in reporting and don't want to watch it and yet they pay even though they don't use the BBC
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
