What the petition asks

This petition, from the We Deserve Better movement, demands that the UK Government do everything in its power to get MLAs to solve their outstanding issues and re-establish effective government for all or have their salaries further cut.

As of September 14th Northern Ireland will have been without a government for 606 days. We Deserve Better is not affiliated to any political party it is a campaign by and for the people. It demands that the UK government work with the Irish Government to appoint an independent facilitator to proactively reinvigorate discussions between all parties. If the parties do not agree to actively engage in discussions to solve the outstanding issues with immediate effect and re-establish a legislative body, as a parallel process, we demand that the UK government cut the salaries of MLAs.
