Create a pride event in Southport
Rejected
10 signatures
What the petition asks
It is more local to the people of Southport to have a pride event as some locals are not able to travel to places such as Manchester, Liverpool and Wigan pride. So therefore this would be beneficial to them as well as many young adults supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for organising pride events. For example, Manchester Pride for is a charity and Brighton and Hove Pride is a not for profit community interest company.
