What the petition asks
We in the security industry have seen a rise in security companies exploiting operatives with low pay and abysmal working conditions which isn’t ideal when the industry on a whole is becoming more dangerous with antisocial behaviour and violent crimes on the rise while police numbers have dropped.
Sia licensed security operatives who work in universities, retail, nightclubs etc are having to deal with more antisocial behaviour/violent crime than ever before. We are first on scene to diffuse or detain the situation and are potentially putting our lives at risk trying to stop/reduce this behaviour so people visiting these establishments can have a pleasant experience.
