NYAKASIKANA CHARWE AKA MBUYA NEHANDA RETURN OUR ANCESTORS REMAINS HOME
Rejected

What the petition asks
Mbuya Nehanda was slaughtered during the liberation struggle and her remains are kept in the British Museum. Please surrender and let us repatriate her where she belongs. She fought for our freedom and laying her to rest in Zimbabwe her home will be honouring her instead of spitting on her grave.
It is evident her remains are kept in the British Museum and thus has been confirmed.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The repatriation of an item from the collection of the British Museum is a matter for the Trustees of the British Museum, not the UK Government or Parliament.
