What the petition asks
At the moment there are many MP's who have private health insurance and therefore cannot understand how badly the NHS is functioning. If they and their families had to use it then they may decide to do something about it.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The decision to take out private health care insurance is one for individual MPs, not the UK Government or Parliament as a whole.
