What the petition asks
The main A road (A422) between Banbury and Brackley is closed to traffic after a bridge was deemed structurally unsafe. Bankrupt Northamptonshire County Council have no money to repair the bridge. We want central Government to step in and reopen the A422.
The A422 between Banbury and Brackley is an important access route between local towns, villages, jobs, schools and services, between the M1, A43 and M40. Diverted traffic is using unsuitable single track roads and roads through villages adding time, costs and danger.
