Make Humanist weddings legally recognised in England and Wales

Closed 33 signatures

What the petition asks

Humanist weddings have been legal in Scotland for over a decade, but in England and Wales they are not legally recognised. Couples wanting to have a Humanist ceremony have to pay to be legally married by a registrar separately to their Humanist ceremony, increasing costs and practicality issues.
