Make it easier for people to get emergency mental health care.

What the petition asks

Our mental health system is broken

When someone comes to A&E wanting/having attempted to end their life 1 thing happens. They’re seen, patched up & sent home. They’re fobbed off on a community team who’re overworked, underpaid & people are slipping through the cracks.
MH teams in A&E ask the wrong questions

They ask:
Do you wash?
Do you eat?
Do you sleep?
Do you have a job?

Answering yes to each question is a death sentence. If you’re not on benefits/an alcoholic/drug dependant/aggressive you’re sent home

It’s unfair to the patient AND on the loved ones who then go home with someone who’s vulnerable until the next time they endanger themselves for the cycle to reoccur

Why do we pay taxes to be turned away at crisis?

People are dying & this MUST change.
