What the petition asks

Employment Support Allowance / Universal credit in many cases is there to provide financial help to those who are unable to work due to physical / mental health conditions. During considerations, assessments and appeals etc. payments can unfortunately be put on hold for long periods of time.

The whole process causes a lot of unnecessary stress and financial strain to those affected. The time frame for this should be limited to 4 weeks maximum, as currently in many cases this can be ongoing for months when there is no need for it to take this long.
