What the petition asks
Without medication mental health patients can die, they are three times more likely to develop additional physical problems such as diabetes, heart disease and addictions, all of which can reduce life expectancy.
Mental illness is considered a disability, question behaviour, whether stable and/or taking medication.
Mind organisation have already researched the definition and terms of disability in conjunction with the Equality Act, 2010. Mental health is included.
