What the petition asks
We have started this petition because it is wrong that people are expected to vote and participate when they have not been taught about politics We want to establish the foundations of a 21st century education system in which all young people have an educated voice about the world in which they live
This petition has been co-sponsored by the students of New Hall School.
On behalf of all young people in the UK we would like brought to the attention of Parliament the need for politics to be a compulsory subject at school from a young age. We wish to add to the debate concerning the lack of effective political education for our young citizens. We will be looking to involve all young people in this campaign inspired by the idea of 'Start Young Start Life Start Politics'
