Create compulsory parenting courses for adults that decide to have children

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Too many adults decide to have children without knowing or leaning how to properly raise them first. These short courses will help adults understand the non- developed brains and how to properly approach and raise them to reduce stress, trauma and mental health issues in children

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you would like the Government to require parents to take parenting courses, but we are not sure who this would apply to or how you would make them compulsory.

You could start a new petition asking the Government to fund a programme of courses for new parents if that's something you would like to happen.
