Promote plant-based lifestyles

What the petition asks
We now know we are 12 years away from climate catastrophe. And that the single biggest thing we can do to reduce our impact on the Earth is to eliminate animal products from our diet. Yet any talk of the government encouraging us to adopt a vegan diet is swept aside as ‘nanny-stateism.’
Animal products are everywhere and not just in our food. If the public have any hope of achieving a plant-based lifestyle they need state help. The government needs to:
• Make menus in public institutions entirely vegan
• Tax any product that contains animal products
• Stop giving incentives to people who farm animals
• Incentivise those who grow or produce vegan foods
• Educate the public about plant-based living
For the future of our planet this subject urgently needs debate in parliament.
