What the petition asks
The European Union has or is providing a formula for assessing the United Kingdoms bill, in order to provide satisfactory clarity as to these costs for the UK tax payer, we must be able to assess the accuracy of the cost. The EU has not been able to pass a budget for several years.
During any break-up(divorce) or buisness partnership separation, an independent audit of the books would always be carried out.In addition also and independant asset appraisal, these are key issues in assessing our withdrawal bill.In no circumstance would only one party dictate asset values to the other without this Audit/ Asset appraisals being carried out by an independent party.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure exactly what action you'd like the Government to take. The European Court of Auditors audits the revenue and expenditure of the EU budget every year.
