Regulation for cyclists to have licenced number plates
Rejected

What the petition asks
Cyclists use the roads with other vehicles that are licenced and regulated to follow traffic laws. Cyclists should follow the same for their own safety and safety of other road users.
Many cyclists follow rules of having properly maintained cycles, wear high visibility clothing, helmets and follow traffic rules. But many do not. This causes mishaps and discord on the road causing stress amongst other cyclists and drivers. Licensing will ensure that standards are maintained and riders who break the law are made to learn the right way and follow them.
