Lower the cost of food intolerance products
Rejected

What the petition asks
Products designed not to contain certain ingredients, described as ‘free from’ products are so much more expensive compared to normal products. Eg. A loaf of normal bread can cost 50p whereas a gluten free loaf can cost as much as £3! It is the same across all of the intolerance products.
A person cannot choose what their body can and can’t tolerate! Just because particular peoples bodies cannot tolerate particular ingredients does not mean companies should benefit and over charge people for these! It is unfair.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the issue you raise is the responsibility of supermarkets, not the UK Government or Parliament.
