Exempt ALL NHS Healthcare Professionals from the Minimum Earnings Threshold

Closed 766 signatures

What the petition asks

Non-EU citizens seeking Indefinite Leave to Remain the UK are required to earn £35,000 a year. In an era of austerity, when our NHS is stretched and there are vacancies across all healthcare professional roles, it is both immoral and unethical that we send highly committed and skilled workers away.
Allied Health Professionals are the 3rd largest workforce in the NHS and without them most patients would not be able to return to their homes and be as independent as they are

Of the 1.2 million staff in the NHS almost 10% are from Non-EU countries

At present there are 4000 Physio vacancies in the NHS
