What the petition asks

Currently buyer OR seller has the option to pull out even on the day exchange/ completion. I know many people who have lost their future homes and also lost money on searches, valuation, solicitors, planning causing them and their families a lot of anxiety and stress.

I have seen in the last 2 years of my property investment journey that there is a need to regulate an area in our law of property buying & selling (within England/ Wales).

This regulation will not only help families & investors to make serious buying / selling and will eliminate any time wasters.

Also I spoke to few friends who tried buy homes / properties and at the very last minute vendor pulled out that caused them a lot of stress as they lost their hard earned money for nothing

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Change English law such that an offer on a house is a binding contract
