Harry Leslie Smith grew up in poverty in Yorkshire, and served in the RAF during the Second World War.
After retiring, Smith began writing his memoirs and about the social history of Great Britain, during his youth and in the 21st century
He is a living voice to remind the British people why can live the lives we do
Why we have the freedoms brought about by whose descendants make up multicultural Britain
