What the petition asks
Parents have to send children into school by law and yet we have no reassurance that they are safe.
VIPs, elected officials, courthouses .. the list goes on of places that use guards.
Our children NEED to be included in this list.
Eliminate acts of violence against schools!

I hope enough people agree with and sign this petition so that the numbers will speak for themselves.
We have all heard of the tragedy’s in the past and personally as a Mum it terrifies me.
The current system is leaving our children vulnerable.
Parents need peace of mind and our children deserve protection.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because school security is the responsibility of individual schools and not the UK Government or Parliament.
You could start a new petition calling for the UK Government to provide a police presence at all schools if that is something you would like to see happen.
