What the petition asks

Students are being asked to pay the maximum £9,250 by universities, when not every university offers the same standard of education. Universities ranking lower on league tables should not be allowed to charge students the maximum fees, that higher ranking universities expect from their students.

The institute of fiscal studies said in 2017 that students in England are expected to graduate with £50,800 debt on average, with students from lower income families graduating with a higher, £57,000 debt.
The average UK disposable household income is £27,000.
Students starting year 2012, begin paying student loans when earning £25,000.
Earning £25,00 annually, it would take 29 years and 4 months to repay student loans at current maximum fees.
