What the petition asks
The behaviour of many MPs is astonishingly poor, when televised these elected representatives must behave as role models. They are currently an embarrassment to the nation.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because this is the personal responsibility of the Speaker of the House of Commons and not the UK Government or Parliament as a whole.
You can find out more about the rules that the Speaker and his Deputies apply here:
https://www.parliament.uk/documents/rules-of-behaviour.pdf
You could start a new petition calling for the House of Commons to change its rules, if there is a change you would like to see.
