Move responsibility for the laws on equal marriage from NI back to UK Parliament

Closed 81 signatures

What the petition asks

The responsibility for the law on equal marriage in NI is devolved to the Northern Ireland Assembly which is currently not sitting. This petition is to move that responsibility back to the UK Parliament, after which a petition to change the law to align with the rest of the UK can be made
As NI is part of the UK, it should have the same laws on issues such as equal marriage when the rest of the UK does. See Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013
