What the petition asks
It can be hard to resist cute puppies and kittens for sale in pet-store windows. But a closer look into how these stores obtain animals reveals a system in which the high price that consumers pay for “that doggie in the window”.
It is a victory for the Lucy's Law campaign, which has been calling for the ban to be implemented.
The campaign was named after a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who was badly treated in the puppy farming system.
