It is well known that in the UK there are many parents who can be classified as the working poor.
These parents are on a low wage however do not qualify for certain benefits such as free school meals because their earnings reach by a small margin above the thresholds

There have been many campaigns and statistical information gathered that demonstrates how a hot school meal for children and young people in state funded education, supports both their educational progress and personal wellbeing.
