The UK legal definition of rape should change to the US version.

What the petition asks

The UK law means only penetration with a penis is considered rape. Instead, the US version should be used. This covers all forms of forced penetration. Penetration from an object can cause the same trauma as when penetrated by a penis, yet these victims attackers can get off more lightly.
