Petition · past parliament
The Prime Minister, Theresa May, should resign and a general election be called
Rejected
15 signatures
What the petition asks
The Fix Term Parliament Act and the negotiations with the EU have resulted in an impasse in the executive and parliament. The way to avoid a deepening constitutional crisis is a general election.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
We can't accept petitions calling for someone to be given or lose their job. This would be a personal decision for the Prime Minister.
