Introduce a regulation for Employers to offer 'Family-Friendly' working policies

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Research shows that a large proportion of UK families require to be dual working families, through financial necessity. The lack of accessible and affordable childcare makes this particularly difficult. The Government have taken incredible steps to improve this but feel Employers could do more.
With dual working families in the UK on the rise, the need for more accessible, flexible and affordable childcare is a prominent one.

The introduction of the 30 free term time childcare hours for working parents have been a welcomed step in the right direction however has resulted in many nurseries increasing fees or closing.

Employers rarely offer flexible or family-friendly working opportunities and this needs to change. Supportive employers encourage more parents & carers back into work.
