The NHS is outsourcing hospital services to clients who employ long term contractors to carry out services such as Catering, Cleaning and domestic services, Porters, Security, Linen and laundry services, Switchboard and reception services

Contractors who are working in the NHS on a long term basis should receive the agenda for change pay in line with other NHS workers.
These jobs were originally available directly working for the NHS. The pay rate for the demanding job role is low and has become very uncompetitve which results in poor staff retention and also poor service provided which effects the patient care.
Savings made should not come from the workforce.
