Petition · past parliament

All products using non-recyclable packaging have to be visibly labeled as such.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

In the same way as cigarettes are labelled for their health risks, all products using nonrecyclable packaging have to be visibly labelled to enable consumers to make informed choices: 'This Product Uses Non-Recyclable Packaging'.
This would encourage manufacturers and shops to use alternative or even non-packaging solutions (for fruit and veg for instance) for fear of losing sales to similar products that don't have these warning labels.
