What the petition asks
stop charging 20% vat on gym membership. The UK is in an obesity epidemic, the nhs is under a huge strain. By removing vat from gym membership, gym owners can reduce their monthly fees, making the gym more affordable, and reinvest into more specialist equipment.
People’s health & weight has become a huge issue in the UK, our health services are struggling to cope. Removing the VAT on gym memberships would allow gym owners to reduce their membership fee, invest into more equipment that will help people with their weight loss & health issues. By encouraging more people to use gyms & fitness centres, will improve there overall health, and reduce the strain inthe already overstretched NHS
