Allow British public to carry licenced firearms

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Demand the the UK government allow the British public to carry licenced firearms
Due to the greatly increased terrorist threat & deaths caused by same & also that our police force can no longer protect us from this threat.
We the British public demand the right to carry licenced firearms so as to protect ourselves & our loved ones.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

It is already possible to obtain a licence to carry firearms for particular specified purposes, such as shooting for sport or controlling deer populations, so we're not sure what else you'd like to happen.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the UK Government or Parliament to introduce a licence to allow people to carry firearms for self-defence, if that's something you'd like to happen.
