What the petition asks
At present there is no regulation in the repair of motor vehicle.
It is becoming more frequent that in adequate repairs made by “diy, enthusiasts and others” are sub standard and so being dangerous.
The majority of accidents are caused by lack of maintenance.

If you look at the number of vehicles on the road as a potential for risk it’s is huge!
Yet there is nothing stop someone with little to even no knowledge of the saftey aspects of a car to decide he’s going to start his own mobile repair business.
There has been a huge influx of people doing so and the work is substandard at best, these people are often uninsured and pose a huge saftey risk to our roads.
