A Petition Calling for the Resignation of John Bercow
Rejected
18 signatures
What the petition asks
The Speakers Role is and has always been to be completely impartial in Debates in the House. John Bercow has today abused his position in order to assist the Remain Faction in frustrating the Government's actions to fulfil the Electorates wishes.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
The resignation of an MP, including the Speaker, would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.
