Petition · past parliament
Immediately remove John Bercow from being the Speaker of the House of Commons
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Presently it appears Mr Bercow is abusing his position to deliberately manipulate the terms of Brexit as he so desires to frustrate the government's attempts to leave. This is unacceptable as it is against the wishes of the electorate who voted both to leave and for the current coalition government.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
The resignation of an MP, including the Speaker, would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.
