What the petition asks
John Bercow is required to be neutral in all aspects of his post, on several occasions shown bias one way or another, the latest being the overruling of advice from a senior clerk over amendments to a non amendable motion in the HOC. This behaviour cannot be allowed continue as it breeds mistrust.
The Public can’t trust in the Parliamentary system if the procedures and rules are not followed, John Bercow on several occasions has flouted the rules....
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
The resignation of an MP, including the Speaker, would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.
