What the petition asks
We, the undersigned, are concerned at the alarming rise in the amount of hate speech on social media platforms in particular the number of hateful comments posted regarding Brexiteers (including to individuals directly) from “People's Vote” supporters has risen alarmingly in the past year.
We are particularly concerned that this is causing unwarranted stress to those affected and demand that the British Government take immediate action to introduce legislation to make the posting of hateful comments - for any reason - on any social media platform illegal.
