Referendum result can only be overturned by another referendum, not by MPs

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

When the government gives the people a choice in a referendum that has effect in law, then MPs should not be allowed to overturn the law without another referendum - in order to uphold the principle of democracy consistently. If the UK allows this to happen once, it will set a dangerous precedent.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
