MP's should no longer be entitled to you the title "The Right Honourable"

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

Following the self serving behaviour of ALL MP's during Brexit, they should no longer be entitled to use the title "The Right Honourable" as it is clear that rather than being driven by principles and the desire to serve the public they are ALL in it for themselves.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We can't accept your petition because we are not sure what action you would like the Government or Parliament to take.

MPs do not receive the title "honourable". It is a courtesy they use to refer to each other in the House of Commons.

Members of the Privy Council, whether MPs or not, receive the title "right honourable" when they are appointed.

We are therefore not sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

If you would like MPs to be able to call each other by their names in the House of Commons you could sign this petition instead:
