What the petition asks
In UK elections, voters elect representatives on pledges or party political policies. MP's have broken that trust voting against pledges. We the undersigned petition that: Until further notice, all candidates display 1) Party membership. 2) Their commitment to Remain or Leave the EU.
Major UK political parties committed to 'Respect the Democratic Leave Referendum Vote in 2016' and were duly returned to parliament by majority in 2017. Since then, we have seen Remain and Leave supporting MP's elected in 'Leave majority seats' vote against previous pledges and even propose obstructions to the process. This has seen party political bickering over the past two years when negotiations and deals should have been the priority. When we vote, we want to know what we are voting for.
