What the petition asks
Those who work within the legal profession are aware that section 3C Immigration Act 1971 allow applicants who submit in time applications the right to reside and work in the UK whilst their applications are pending. Employers are requesting for written confirmation by way of acknowledgement.
Family Members of EEA Nationals are issued such letters by way of Certificate of Application. Home Office should simplify the process by issuing Certificate of Application for immigration applications to help laymen, employers and employees.
The two tier system is causing confusing and individuals are being suspended from work unjustifiably and this can be resolved by the Home Office adopting the Certificate of Application style for all British linked immigration applications.
