What the petition asks
Yvette Cooper, the MP for the Normanton, Castleford and Pontefract constitutency continuously votes against the government and restricts any attempt of securing a good Brexit, despite her constituency voting overwhelmingly to leave the EU in 2016.
In 2016, the nation took part in the biggest show of democracy in the modern era, and the Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford constituency voted to leave the EU, with 60% of this area saying out. Yvette Cooper blocks any attempt by the government to secure a good Brexit, and tabled a motion that restricts spending on no-deal preparations. She is undermining her constituents and abusing her power, as well as the integrity of the UKs democracy.
