I have been tournament organiser for the Scottish County Championships for five years.
I have been involved with local and national level for over twenty years. I have saw at first hand how venues are closing at a alarming rate and participation numbers have dropped significantly since the boom years of the 80s.. It was once classed as the working mans sport.
In todays world of austerity, snooker gets kids off the streets. Gives the youth of today boundaries, rules and regulations to follow.
