What the petition asks
Cat are the second highest pet in the UK.
They are loved just as much as dogs are so when they go missing it's heart breaking. They should have the same law as dogs when it comes to identifying and any lost/ found cats. Because there is nothing in place cats can be stolen.

Cats should be microchipped at the age of eight weeks also owners must have registered their pet’s microchip details on one of the authorised databases. They must keep there details up to date.
If you rehoming your cat to someone else, you must give the new owner the correct microchip registration paperwork so that they can contact the database and register as the cat new owner.
Lost/found cats
Anyone who finds a stray cat must try and reunite with owner if they don't know who the owner is the cat must be report to a dog warren or someone simular
