Make Late Payments Within The Construction Industry Against The Law
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
I own the Lionheart Group, a construction agency, I’m constantly chasing my funds past 30,60,90 & even 120 days! It’s effecting our industry in an extremely negative way, people are losing their livelihoods through no fault of their own & we need to come together to put a stop to it once & for all!
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We understand that you are concerned about late payments in the construction industry but we aren't sure how you would like the law changed.
The law already states that a payment is late if it is later than 30 days (assuming no other period has been agreed):

You could start a new petition setting out clearly how you would like the law changed.
