Make People Who Falsely Accuse Rape A Criminal Offence

What the petition asks
Anyone who is caught falsely accusing rape should be given a prison sentence for their vile actions. These sick minded people need to be stopped. Putting innocent peoples life’s at risk. As well as turning the public against them. Let’s make this a law and stop the false rape allegations.

Making a false allegation of a crime may already in some circumstances lead to a jail sentence - for example, if someone is found guilty of perverting the course of justice. In other cases, people who are accused of making false accusations may be prosecuted for wasting police time.
